Why Speak Out? Why Bother? Why Blog?

>> April 2, 2010

I was asked last week why I write about Obama and the current crop of lunatics running the country. I answered her at the time and got that glazed look that says "So? And your point is?" She said "I vote. That's my voice. What else can I do?" To which I replied simply "You don't get it, do you?" No, I guess not.

She didn't.

I didn't feel like I could enlighten her at the moment so, after the meeting, I was back at my office and decided to write a quick letter to try to explain to the uninitiated what drives me. It truly amazes me that someone can read what is on these pages and not understand why I do it.

The following is the letter and the link I sent to her:

I’ve been thinking about your question earlier. I don’t think I answered it to my satisfaction.

If you want to know why I blog or write about these things, Here is the bottom line. I love the ideas of the Founders. I love freedom and liberty and I know we are losing them. I want to lend a voice to the thousands/millions of others who wish to stop what is discussed in this article. It’s not the absolute best article I’ve found but it is does reference some law professors who agree that if these guys aren’t stopped, our country is quite probably doomed. They are setting precedent that will have future consequences impacting individual property and liberty. In other words, every aspect of your life.

That doesn’t scare you? It does me. And it makes me mad that I see it happening on such a large scale here. It makes me angrier to see liberals who gloat over the destruction of the very thing that enables their prosperity, the Constitution. Activism is needed. Not just at the ballot box. I know for some that is all they feel they can do. I happen to think they are wrong. The more I learn, the more I feel it is our duty as Americans to be informed about our country so as to defend it from these types of attacks. We’ve been asleep and inattentive as is needed by the form of government the founders set up for us. It requires our involvement.

I’ve had this conversation before and what I always find myself saying over and over again is: If I didn’t think I could change it, I would still do it because it’s what I feel I must do as an American.

Call me what you will, but I’m not crazy. These people are more power hungry than most realize. I don’t wish for anyone to live under oligarchy and I hate aristocracy. Both of those paths are tyrannical and often lead to dictatorships. For anyone to think it couldn’t happen here is, to me, not as aware as they should be. History does repeat itself.

I look at it this way, the left owns 90% of the main stream media. Bloggers are a part of the opposition to that misinformation. I’m proud to be a part of that opposition and have fun doing it most of the time. Believe me, sometimes I wish I was ignorant to what is happening. Ignorance may in fact be bliss, but now that I know some of it, now that I’ve gone down the rabbit hole as they say, I want to see it all and I might as well share it with whomever would listen.

OK, I’ll go back to work now boss,

God Bless.

FYI Boss, I posted this on my time,   ;-)

Just passing on what I've seen. Stay alert folks. These guys are playing with your rights.
There's a petition to stop the treaty here.

Insurance Companies - With Obama, It's a Love Hate Thing

>> March 9, 2010

Obama just hates him some insurance. He loves to love it too. After ripping them over their supposedly obscene profits, he attempts to placate them by offering - wait for it, waaait for it,

ThreeHundredThirtySix Billion Dollars!

Just What Isn't For Sale In This Administration?

Obama Now Selling Judgeships for Health Care Votes? | The Weekly Standard

Louisiana, Nevada, Nebraska, and now we're selling votes for... Judges.

Judges.

No, not two... ONE. 1. Singular.

Judge.

You'd better get in now, while the prices are still low!

Once those votes are gone, they're gone!

See, The Washington Standard got it a bit wrong I think. They said that Obama may have sold the Judgeship for a vote. But I think it was the other way around. Obama sold the vote. He sold more than one vote, and those sales will cost us all dearly.

So.

If you haven't made your deal yet, time is r-r-r-running out!

Call the 24 hour hotline on your screen now and make us an offer! Hey. Who knows?  I hear the First Amendment is going for the price of a song!

As long as you don't sing.

Beware Wolves in Sheep's Clothing

More excellent Photoshoppery in evidence over at No Sheeples Here along with an urge for conservatives fight harder for their core values.

I agree.

Let's council our representatives not give in to Obummer and his fake olive leaf proposal and the associated political chicanery coming Thursday in the form of the Health Care Beer Summit.

Now is the time to dig in. I don't understand how the Republicans can even entertain the idea that our Flounder in Chief is going to listen to them. This is just a carnival attraction with a trap at the end. I hope they don't play into it.

In the words of Nancy Reagan: "Just Say NO."

What To Call Obama Supporters

>> February 12, 2010

IMAO is hosting a fun little game to come up with what in the world to call the  Obummer supporters. I offered what I believe will be the WIN, although at this point my comment is still awaiting moderation. (This is the first time I've commented on IMAO's blog so it's to be expected). (Success! I passed muster of the IMAO moderator!) There are some pretty imaginative ones over there so, go check it out and offer a suggestion or two.

I personally liked the one that said simply "Mom".

Ouch.

That had to hurt. I can feel her pain though, my Dad is ate up with the Democrat too, although to his credit, he didn't vote for B.H.O. I don't think he voted at all last year.

Cheers!

What? You're still here? Go on, Git!

Political Projection and Demagoguery

>> February 3, 2010

Everybody Panic! Terrorist Attack Certain!

Have you heard? We are going to be attacked by terrorists. I hear that it's "certain" within the next 3 to 6 months according to Director of National Intelligence Agency Dennis Blair.

Well now, isn't that the kind of reassuring news we all want and need to hear from Director of National Intelligence? Granted, I don't wish to be lied to. By all means, be truthful with me.

But...

How about this... If it is indeed "certain". If in fact they have enough factual information to confirm an actual attempt to kill Americans is going to take place, then why on earth don't they arrest or kill the terrorist who is going to perform this "certain" act?

Hellooo...   McFly...

It would seem that the people we put in place to protect America have given up on their task if they have pronounced the next attack as "certain". Perhaps we should fire Blair and his staff and instead put the people who nabbed the underwear bomber in charge of national security. The passengers on that plane were obviously better equipped to deal with a terrorist than our own government. With outstanding leadership like this, we are left shaking our collective heads asking ourselves "Who are these imbeciles comrade?"

The next attack is "certain". - These types of exaggerations are just the kind of scare tactics the left accuses it's opponents of.

Such as...
Sarah Palin was accused of inflating the facts when she pointed out that there are Death Panels in the Health Care bill. Newsflash! There are Death Panels in the bill. But if they call her a liar enough then it must be true. The Thinker points to an excellent article on the subject of "spread the lie" strategy.

Or...
Obummer calling his opponents demagogues in speeches overseas.
"(There almost certainly will be) demagogues out there who try to suggest that any form or pathway for legalization for those who are already in the United States is unacceptable." - Pres. Obama

So, if Obummer says it enough, it must be true.

I'm not buying it.

A psychologist would call this a form of "psychological projection", as in projecting your own faults onto others. Politicians use a form of this against their opponents. It is in my mind "Political Projection" or a form of demagoguery taken to the next level, which is to accuse your opponent of whatever you are doing or are about to do. The left is extremely adept at it. the Clintons used it to great and unfortunate outcomes during their term in orifice. Some would have said they perfected the whole projection as offense/defense tactic. Mixed with various other smear and slander stratagies it can be a devisive tool against one's political enemies. Yet, as proficient as the Clintons were, I think it has yet to find it's apex under it's current employers. "We have only just begun to project and demagogue!" should be the Obummer administration's credo.

For the uninitiated, let's not forget the media outlets in Obummers pocket are projecting too.
Case in point Kieth Olbermann. A well known left wing extreemist hired by NBC just prior to the 2008 elections and who has in recent months gotten ever more shrill. There are others - Rachel Maddow, Chris Matthews blah blah tele-blah, all towing the line for the elite projectionists in power. It is time to unplug the projector.

Another case in point:
Right-wingers are demagogues. They must be because we say they are!

As I was writing this, I ran across a prime example of the ultimate bit of projection-ism/demagoguery at The Troglopundit. Seems that someone who shall be unnamed is writing a book comparing Republicans to Jihadists. I don't know for sure, but I'll bet he's a 9/11 truther.

Alice, we are truly through the looking glass.

Obummer Reads to Sixth Graders

>> January 25, 2010

He has finally found his target audience.
This has been circulating lately. Word is that this image is NOT photoshopped. Take a look.

Now, I wouldn't bother commenting on this normally but - ahem - as a person who works with sound systems quite often I notice that there are three Three THREE! speakers, or as we in the trade call them, monitors, Monitors MONITORS! in front of Obummer. This is a wee bit of overkill. Basically those are used in the music biz to hear one's self over the music a fully amplified band is going to throw at you as a singer, or as a speaker in front of a large audience with a Public Address system. Obummer looks like he's in a classroom not much bigger than my studio's playroom. I certainly don't need even one One ONE! monitor in there just to hear myself talk to a room full of sixth graders. Mr. Prez. is really and truly in love with his voice to use any Any ANY! monitors at all in this situation.

We are really in trouble if he sees himself in the light this portrays. I mean really. He's also got the freakin Presidential Seal Prayer Rug, a Presidential Podium plus two Two TWO! teleprompters and the Secret Service agent to keep him warm and cozy. Most people I know would have walked in, pulled up a little kiddie chair and talked to those little people like they were well, little people, young men and women, not serfs or peons to be impressed or spoken down to, which is just what he did.

What our Prez wants is...
More Cowbell.

Update: It seems the Robot made a wee mistake pointing out the three Three THREE! monitors on the floor in front of Obummer. After closer review and searching, I've found out that two of those were the teleprompter bases and the man standing behind is in fact Education Secretary Arne Duncan. Sorry about that Arne. Although I must say, you're looking in pretty fit there. I thought you were Secret Service. Ooops! I still would contend that the center box IS a monitor speaker which, with the teleprompters is overkill  for a speech to 30 students.

Ok, there it is. My first correction. Now, If we could get some in Congress to recognize some of their mistakes, we'd get along just fine.
Cheers!

From The American Thinker...

This spirit of freedom which built our country is presently in jeopardy. It is being stealthily undermined by the peculiar form of government which the Obama administration is determined to institutionalize; a government with a lust for control that is more expansive in scope than many seem to realize; and one which tries to arrogate - contrary to the principles of the Founding Fathers- far more power than it was originally intended to wield.

Amongst  the primary objectives the Obama administration has set out to accomplish are: a complete restructuring of our economy in accordance with the President's socialist construct; the establishment of a federally run Health Care System; the reshaping of our military prowess into an obsolete commodity; a gradual consolidation under the Executive Branch of authority commonly delegated to the Judicial and the Legislative Branches; and finally, the legal prohibition of aired dissent from any assembly or media outlet which happens to disagree with the president or seeks to divulge the potentially deleterious effects of his policies.

A key element of this strategy is to create a narrative which questions the plausibility of a majority elected government in a free society like ours, entertaining and eventually actualizing such illiberal aspirations, and portrays the Obama administration as one that is not engaged in clandestine operations as has been unfairly alleged; and that any evidences to the contrary are merely the unintended consequences of nobler initiatives which have been skewed by the media, or most likely part of a smear conspiracy from his right wing detractors.

But since the Obama administration has indeed shown that it does entertain such aspirations, and that it plans to make good on them, let us then briefly examine every one of these rather ambitious objectives in terms of their respective strategies, if for no other reason than to offer some kind of preparatory grounds for resistance...

Clueless or Calculating?

From Gateway Pundit:
For Thanksgiving Barack Obama Demands Release of 1,000 Terrorists
"President Obama wants the Israelis to release 1,000 terrorists…
The naive American President urged Israel today to release 1,000 terrorists in exchange for “peace” with the Palestinians."
Dell asks in the comments section:
"Would the fraud in the White House release Khalid Sheikh Mohammed to “insure peace” with the Muslim world? And, don’t be surprised if that demand is made before the circus trials in New York City! A dire warning will come – purportedly from Osama Bin Laden himself – and the President will get to see what the shoe feels like on the other foot..."

First a thanks to Smitty at The Other McCain for the FMJRA link back. Smitty called me "The Mind Numbed Robot" which is, after all, in the url of the site. Maybe I'll consolidate the site name, blog title and my alias. We'll see. Any thoughts?

Right now I'm at The Saloon, feet up, coffee in hand, watching the movie "Fall Of The Republic - The Presidency Of Barack H Obama" posted by Riley Jones who asks the  intriguing question "Are the producers of this film laughably insane or terrifyingly accurate?"
The movie is disturbing, if accurate. Certainly conspiratorial (who doesn't love a good conspiracy?) and worth a watch, if you have time.
